Responsibilities for the Purchasing Specialist:

  • Initiate and process company purchase orders received via calls, texts, or emails.
  • Source and order electrical materials from local and online vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and availability.
  • Coordinate seamless will-calls and deliveries with vendors and warehouse staff.
  • Research and compare prices to secure the best value for the company.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with reliable electrical material suppliers.
  • Meticulously track, document, and submit credit card receipts for all purchases.
  • Efficiently process and track returns to vendors.
  • Develop and implement innovative purchasing strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee the entire electrical procurement process, from order placement to timely delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to understand and fulfill their specific electrical material needs.


Qualifications for the Purchasing Specialist:

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical purchasing, preferably with a contractor.
  • Deep understanding of electrical parts, procurement strategies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Proficient in ServiceTitan or a similar software platform is a plus.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong multi-tasking skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both customers and colleagues.
