Trades Apprentice – Plymouth, MA

Essential Job Functions

Learning & Development:
-
Actively participate in on-the-job training, observing and assisting experienced technicians with various tasks.

Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions under the guidance of skilled professionals.

Assist with the repair or replacement of defective equipment, components, and wiring.

Gain practical knowledge in inspecting and testing systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

Supportive Tasks:

Assist with the preparation and cleanup of work areas.

Safely transport tools, materials, and equipment as directed.

Provide support to licensed technicians during customer service calls.
-
Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in proper working order.

Assist with the organization and inventory of parts and supplies.

Safety & Compliance:

Prioritize safety by adhering to all company safety guidelines and protocols.

Actively participate in safety training sessions to ensure a safe and secure work environment.

Utilize trade-specific tools and equipment safely and effectively.

Documentation:

Learn to maintain accurate records of work performed, including time and materials used.

Report any observed faults, deficiencies, or unusual occurrences to supervisors promptly.

Collaboration:

Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals.

Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
Required Skills & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience
-
Completion of at least 1 year of a recognized trade school program is preferred.

Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
