Work With Your Handz is a woman-owned boutique recruitment agency identified with residential and commercial services sectors. In our niche, we hire all types of skilled trades as well as management and leadership roles.

Our growing recruiting company needs a creative and technology savvy marketing assistant. You will learn the recruitment marketing industry and have exposure to a multitude of different software platforms and marketing tools. We are passionate about marketing to our clients and candidates! We value this integral part of being a successful recruiting business and can provide both knowledge and mentorship.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ experience as a Marketing Coordinator or Assistant.

Marketing Assistant Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to marketing department – report directly to the CEO.
  • Monitor and post daily on all social media channels.
  • Work with outside marketing agency team to manage brand and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns and focus on company promotion of jobs.
  • Perform market and client research.
  • Create reports on marketing performance.
  • Maintain schedules for marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with social media and website content.
  • Attend trade shows, company events.
  • Organize and manage marketing collateral.
  • Schedule and maintain email campaigns.
  • Make changes in existing marketing assets.

Marketing Assistant Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Comfort with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment
  • Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and social abilities
  • Ability to spot emerging trends
  • Familiarity with social media, social networking, email marketing and search engines
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong writing and copy-editing abilities
  • Intermediate knowledge of CRMs; experience with HubSpot preferred.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Canva and Adobe products.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 1-3 years experience in marketing or equivalent education
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word)
  • Demonstrated experience with social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest.  Snapchat, TikTok, Reddit a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere) a plus
  • Digital photography and video editing experience a plus


Salary is $45-50K
