Job Title: HVAC Installer

The HVAC Installer will assist in the professional installation of modern heating and cooling equipment within a tight Long Island service radius, reporting daily to the Amityville office. This role is ideal for individuals with a foundational knowledge of the trades or a strong willingness to learn, who are ready to become part of a supportive team focused on quality work and continuous career development.
Responsibilities and Expectations

Assist in the professional installation of diverse HVAC and oil equipment, including oil heating systems, central air conditioning units, boilers, and ductless mini-split systems.

Must be willing to learn oil equipment since you will be installing both HVAC and oil systems. (Oil installation experience is preferred but not required.)

Support team members by preparing job sites, moving and staging materials and equipment, and providing assistance with measurements and system setup.

Load/Unload all necessary materials and equipment carefully (ability to lift and move heavy materials is required) to and from the company vehicle and job site.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment, cleaning up thoroughly after all installations are complete.

Actively learn and apply safety practices, installation best practices, and new techniques from experienced technicians and supervisors through paid training.
Requirements

Minimum 2 years experience in HVAC installation

Strong interest in pursuing a career within the HVAC, plumbing, or heating trades.

Entry-Level Working Knowledge of HVAC systems is highly desirable. Oil installation experience is preferred but NOT required.

Ability to follow directions precisely and work safely and reliably in a fast-paced team environment.

Must demonstrate high accountability, possess a low ego, be coachable, and maintain a strong communicator approach.

Must be physically able to handle the demands of the job, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment.

Prior Nexstar training is a huge plus.

Good verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Valid driver’s license is preferred. Must maintain a clean driving record

Must be a team player with an upbeat/positive attitude.

The compensation for this position is expected to range between $20.00 – $30.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
