Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installation Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in solar panel installation, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality. This role involves working on residential and commercial solar projects, ensuring efficient and precise installations.
Responsibilities:
- Install solar panels, inverters and other components of solar energy systems on rooftops and ground-mounted systems
- Perform site assessments to ensure proper installation and system performance
- Follow detailed blueprints and plans to ensure accurate and efficient installation
- Test electrical components and connections to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar installations
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with project managers and customers
- Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles in good working condition
- Provide exceptional customer service and support
- Perform work in compliance with current National Electrical Code, state and local building regulations
- Maintain accurate digital records /pictures of work performed and materials used
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in solar technology or electrical systems preferred
- Proven experience in solar installation or a related field
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, schematics and blueprints
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
- Focused self-starter who enjoys being part of a team environment
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with desktop applications and well versed in technology
- Ability to establish and maintain professional, positive relationships with both customers and coworkers
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- OSHA certification and other relevant safety training are a plus

The compensation for this position is expected to range between $25.00 – $35.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
