Job Title: Accounting Manager
Work With Your Handz is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee daily financial operations and support continued growth across multiple service divisions for a leading residential services company in Charlottesville, VA. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys building structure, and can confidently manage both high-level accounting functions and day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and process payroll using QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop (assisted payroll)
- Manage daily journal entries and general ledger activity
- Handle rebates, invoicing, and discount tracking
- Assist with annual insurance renewals and related documentation
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure financial accuracy and strong cash flow
- Develop and maintain customized financial reports for multiple departments, including HVAC service, plumbing service, plumbing installation, and commercial plumbing
- Supervise and support two direct reports, providing guidance and accountability
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or finance, with leadership or management responsibilities
- Job Costing Experience Preferred
- Service Titan Experience Preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop preferred
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across different business units
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Starting at $80,000+, based on experience

The compensation for this position is expected to start at $80,000 per year. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
