Service Manager – Residential Electrical Division

Work with Your Handz has partnered with a leading electrical company in Lansdale, PA in search of an experienced Service Manager to lead their residential electrical service department.

Pay: $80,000–$95,000/year, plus performance-based bonus opportunities

This role is built for a hands-on leader who loves developing technicians and growing a team. You’ll coach apprentices and electricians toward their full potential, run training that keeps the team sharp on code compliance and best practices, and drive day-to-day performance across all residential service work — installations, maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

What You’ll Do
Grow & Train the Team

• Conduct monthly ride-alongs, technician evaluations, and one-on-one coaching
• Lead weekly training on service call procedures, technical skills, manufacturer guidelines, and code compliance
• Assess skill levels of apprentices, installers, and electricians; build development plans to close gaps
• Oversee onboarding and growth path for apprentices, installers, and SFP technicians
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and performance reviews
• Build a team culture technicians want to stay and grow in

Run Daily Operations

• Manage daily dispatching to maximize efficiency and manpower utilization
• Communicate with the Dispatcher on job progress, scheduling, and field issues
• Provide electricians with pricing guidance, procedural direction, and technical support
• Conduct monthly truck inspections for safety and compliance

Oversee Warehouse & Materials

• Keep the warehouse clean and organized
• Oversee purchasing of materials and supplies
• Process material returns and ensure credits are received

Deliver on Customer Satisfaction

• Ensure complete customer satisfaction on every job
• Handle complaints professionally and resolve them effectively
• Manage callbacks and warranty work promptly
• Maintain consistent quality control across all residential electrical work

What Success Looks Like

• Customer satisfaction ratings of 9.1+
• 61%–65% minimum gross margin
• Meeting or exceeding monthly revenue goals
• A growing, well-trained technician team

Compensation

• Base salary: $80,000–$95,000/year
• Bonus opportunities tied to gross margin, revenue goals, and customer satisfaction performance

What You Bring

• Strong professional image and positive attitude
• Willingness to travel periodically
• Extensive electrical knowledge; residential electrical experience strongly preferred
• Experience in a home services company is a plus
• Full commitment to this role — no personal or “side-work” permitted

The compensation for this position is expected to range between $80,000 – $95,000 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
