Operations Manager

Location: South Central Pennsylvania (Central PA)

Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 Base Salary + 5%–25% Performance Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits Package + Vehicle & Equity Potential

Work With Your Handz is partnering with a premier, longstanding residential service provider in South Central Pennsylvania to identify an experienced, high-impact Operations Manager.

Serving homeowners since 1969, this organization has built an exceptional, market-leading reputation across more than five decades of service. Today, operating at approximately $13M in annual revenue with an immediate trajectory toward $20M+, they are seeking an operations leader who leads by serving others, builds scalable processes, establishes clear accountability, and helps technicians become top earners while giving teams the autonomy and support to succeed.

If you are a hands-on, operational leader who thrives on execution, loves mentoring frontline technicians, and wants to work directly alongside a visionary owner in a high-trust, collaborative culture, this is the right role for you.

The Opportunity

As the Operations Manager, you will serve as the operational anchor of the business, overseeing daily field operations across plumbing, drain cleaning, water treatment, and residential heating and cooling. Rather than managing from behind a desk, you will lead from the front—working directly with frontline teams, optimizing call coordination and dispatch, streamlining warehouse flow, and solving real-time operational bottlenecks.

Operating in an EOS-driven (Entrepreneurial Operating System) structure, you will partner closely with the Head of Sales to align service capacity with customer demand and drive profitable growth. You will also oversee an exceptional, high-performing internal call center and work directly with field leadership to remove friction for technicians so they can focus on delivering rapid, compassionate solutions for homeowners.

This role offers the chance to learn firsthand from a seasoned industry leader, broaden your operational expertise, and build a strong foundation for continued career growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee daily field service and installation operations across residential plumbing, drain cleaning, water treatment, and HVAC to ensure timely, high-quality execution.

  • Lead with Accountability & Execution: Translate company vision and strategic growth objectives into standard operating procedures, structured accountability, and scalable daily routines.

  • Mentor & Elevate Technicians: Provide hands-on leadership to field staff, partnering with managers and technicians to strengthen skills, improve efficiency, and support strong earning potential without excessive overtime.

  • Department & Call Center Leadership: Directly oversee the customer care/call center team and dispatch operations to maximize scheduling efficiency, booking rates, and exceptional customer experience.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with the sales leadership team to balance capacity, align lead generation with field readiness, and ensure unified operational execution.

  • Process & Inventory Optimization: Identify workflow friction points and drive continuous improvement, including parts flow, warehouse staging, and field material logistics.

  • Systems & Data Utilization: Leverage ServiceTitan and operational KPIs to monitor department performance, diagnose gaps, and maintain transparent accountability across teams.

  • Job Site & Field Support: Maintain a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality—jumping in when needed to assist with equipment, facilitate urgent customer solutions, or support field emergencies.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 3–5+ years of operational leadership or management experience within residential home services (plumbing experience is strongly preferred; knowledge of water treatment, drain systems, or residential HVAC is a plus).

  • Leadership Style: A hands-on leader who leads by example, sets clear expectations, holds people accountable, and thrives in an action-oriented environment.

  • Systems & Technology: Demonstrated experience with modern field service management platforms (ServiceTitan proficiency preferred) and operational best practices (Nexstar or best-practice group familiarity is advantageous).

  • Process & Accountability: Proven ability to act as an operational “Integrator” (EOS framework), turning high-level initiatives into structured processes and measurable results.

  • Customer & Team Centricity: Strong sense of urgency and empathy, dedicated to relieving customer stress and actively supporting technician success.

  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 annually (commensurate with background and operational experience)

  • Performance Bonus: Annual EBITDA-based incentive bonus ranging from 5% to 25% of base salary

  • Long-Term Incentive: Potential for equity participation (Profits Interest Units / PIUs) for high-impact leadership

  • Company Vehicle: Fully equipped company vehicle provided, plus company gas card and expense account

  • Technology: Company cell phone and modern field technology provided

  • Comprehensive Healthcare: Robust health, dental, and vision insurance packages

  • Retirement Security: 401(k) retirement plan with company match

  • Paid Time Off: Competitive paid vacation policy and company-observed paid holidays

  • Executive Mentorship: Direct day-to-day collaboration and career mentorship with a respected industry leader
