We’re hiring a Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician to help launch and grow a new commercial HVAC operation in Nashville, TN!

Our client is an established commercial mechanical services company with over 30 years of industry experience and is expanding into the U.S. market. They’re looking for a highly skilled technician who can hit the ground running, work independently, and help build a successful service department from the ground up.

This isn’t just another service technician position. You’ll be the first technician in the Nashville market, working directly with leadership and helping establish the foundation for future growth.

For the right individual, this position offers a clear path toward becoming a Service Manager as the team expands.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, heating systems, and associated mechanical equipment.

• Perform preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, and service assessments for commercial customers.

• Independently troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.

• Service commercial properties, including office buildings, hotels, churches, warehouses, distribution centers, and other commercial facilities.

• Communicate with customers regarding equipment conditions, recommended repairs, and maintenance needs.

• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings to leadership.

• Respond to emergency service requests as part of a rotating on-call schedule.

• Assist with commercial equipment replacements and larger mechanical projects as needed.

• Help mentor and train junior technicians as the Nashville service team expands.

• Work alongside leadership to establish service standards and best practices for the growing operation.

What You’ll Bring

• 7+ years of commercial HVAC service experience; 10+ years preferred.

• Strong hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment.

• Extensive knowledge of commercial rooftop units, refrigeration systems, and electrical troubleshooting.

• Ability to work independently with minimal technical supervision.

• Experience servicing commercial chillers and larger mechanical systems is a plus.

• Previous experience as a Lead Technician or Field Supervisor is preferred.

• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage service calls efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.

• Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

• Interest in mentoring other technicians and growing into a leadership position.

Schedule & Service Area

This is a field-based position serving commercial customers throughout the greater Nashville metropolitan area.

You’ll dispatch directly from home in your company-provided service vehicle, with minimal trips to the office.

The typical workday begins around 8:00 AM, with flexibility for earlier starts depending on customer needs and weather conditions.

This position includes a rotating Wednesday-to-Wednesday on-call schedule, with additional compensation for on-call availability and after-hours service work.
