Train the Technicians. Empower the Contractors. Help Shape the Future of HVAC.

Work With Your Handz (WWYH) has partnered with a rapidly growing HVAC technology manufacturer that’s changing the way heating and cooling systems are designed, installed, and serviced across North America.

Our client is introducing next-generation, AI-optimized heat pump technology, combining advanced equipment with intelligent software that helps HVAC contractors improve installation efficiency, elevate the homeowner experience, and grow their businesses.

We’re searching for an experienced HVAC Partner Field Trainer who can bridge the gap between innovative technology and real-world field execution.

This isn’t a position where you’ll spend your days behind a computer delivering PowerPoint presentations.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who understands HVAC, enjoys working directly with technicians and installers, and knows how to turn complex technical information into practical, actionable training.

You’ll travel nationwide to contractor locations, training facilities, and jobsites, ensuring partners have the knowledge and confidence to successfully sell, install, commission, and service advanced HVAC systems.

If you can walk into a room full of experienced technicians, earn their respect, and leave them better equipped to do their jobs, we want to talk.

The Opportunity

As a Partner Field Trainer, you’ll play a key role in developing and supporting a growing network of HVAC contractors.

You’ll deliver technical and sales training, conduct field ride-alongs, support partner certifications, and provide ongoing education to ensure consistent installation quality and product knowledge.

You’ll also work closely with internal product and training teams, sharing real-world feedback from the field to improve training programs and future product development.

East Coast residency is strongly preferred, with approximately 50–75% nationwide travel required.

What You’ll Be Doing

Deliver Technical Training & Field Support

  • Lead Hands-On Training: Conduct engaging sessions covering heat pump technology, system design, installation procedures, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service best practices.

  • Train Contractor Teams: Educate HVAC installers, service technicians, sales representatives, and leadership teams on product functionality and effective customer-facing sales techniques.

  • Support Partner Onboarding: Help new HVAC contractors develop the skills and technical knowledge required to successfully represent, install, and service the manufacturer’s systems.

  • Get in the Field: Travel to contractor locations, training facilities, and jobsites to conduct hands-on demonstrations, field ride-alongs, and technical workshops.

  • Provide Technical Guidance: Assist partners with installation challenges, product questions, and troubleshooting while connecting them with appropriate support resources.

  • Deliver Virtual Training: Lead webinars and remote training sessions to reinforce product knowledge and support ongoing partner development.

Support Certification & Continuous Improvement

  • Guide contractor partners through established training and certification programs.

  • Track training participation, certification progress, and completion records using a Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Collaborate with internal teams to update technical guides, instructional videos, and training materials.

  • Identify recurring installation challenges, technical questions, and opportunities to improve training effectiveness.

  • Share actionable field feedback with product, engineering, and training teams to support continuous improvement.

  • Represent the organization at industry events, contractor meetings, and regional training sessions.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for a technically capable, engaging instructor who knows how to connect with HVAC professionals and deliver training that makes a measurable impact.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in technical training, field training, contractor education, or a related role within HVAC, home services, or the building trades.

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand HVAC equipment, installation requirements, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technicians and sales professionals at varying experience levels.

  • Experience delivering hands-on workshops, classroom training, or virtual instruction.

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or similar training platforms.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage training schedules, travel, and partner relationships.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel approximately 50–75% nationwide.

Highly Preferred:

  • Hands-on residential HVAC installation, service, or technical support experience.

  • Strong knowledge of heat pumps, ducted and ductless systems, refrigeration fundamentals, and system commissioning.

  • Previous experience with an HVAC manufacturer, OEM, distributor, or contractor training organization.

  • NATE certification, EPA Section 608 certification, or other relevant HVAC credentials.

  • Experience developing technical training materials, instructional videos, or written guides.

  • Residence on the East Coast or within the Eastern Time Zone.

The ideal candidate combines technical credibility with a genuine passion for teaching. You’re someone who learns quickly, connects naturally with tradespeople, and takes pride in helping others become better at their craft.

Compensation & Benefits

Our client recognizes the value of experienced technical trainers who can build confidence, improve field performance, and strengthen contractor partnerships.

  • Base Salary: $100,000 annually.

  • Performance Bonus: Up to 20% of annual base salary, tied to team installation targets.

  • Total Annual Earning Potential: Up to $120,000, plus equity.

  • Stock Options: Opportunity to participate in the company’s long-term growth.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Remote Flexibility: Work remotely while traveling to contractor locations and training events nationwide.

  • Professional Growth: Become a subject matter expert in next-generation heat pump technology, with opportunities for advancement as the organization expands.

  • Meaningful Impact: Play a direct role in improving contractor performance, installation quality, and the overall customer experience.
