HVAC Service Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled, technical-minded Residential HVAC Service Technician with 5+ years of experience to join our client’s tight-knit team in Juneau, Alaska. They pride themselves on active, hands-on leadership where managers work alongside you to coach, train, and support your career growth.
We are looking for a true craftsman—someone who excels at diagnostic troubleshooting and delivers an exceptional, honest customer experience without being a pushy salesperson.
Responsibilities and Expectations

Perform diagnostic inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on residential heating, ventilation, and heat pump systems across Juneau’s unique climate.

Operate ServiceTitan daily to manage job workflows, process estimates, log diagnostic details, and present clear options to homeowners.

Offer financing options and system upgrade solutions transparently—acting as a trusted advisor rather than a high-pressure salesperson.

Report to the shop daily at 7:00 AM for morning dispatch, team alignment, and vehicle preparation.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked company service vehicle.

Participate in a regular on-call rotation to support emergency service needs across the community.

Engage in active coaching, team meetings, and professional skill development.
Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience in residential HVAC service and troubleshooting.

EPA Certification required. (An active Journeyman License commands a premium base hourly rate).

Proficient with diagnostic trade tools and experience using ServiceTitan (or similar field management platforms).

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain composure, deliver great service, and learn from feedback even when dealing with tough customer situations.

Self-motivated, technical-first approach; focused on solving the customer’s problem rather than pushing unnecessary sales.

Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record (MVR) and willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing.

Competitive base hourly rate plus performance/sales bonuses with a $75,000–$100,000+ annual OTE for senior technicians.
