Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and solutions-driven Commercial HVAC Service Technician to evaluate, service, maintain, and repair critical mechanical and control systems in the Tampa, FL area. In this role, you will work directly with commercial facility managers, industrial operators, and healthcare administrators to deliver high-performance HVAC solutions across commercial, industrial, and medical facilities.

We service complex, high-demand mechanical equipment—including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, package units, and split systems. Beyond standard service and repairs, you will evaluate building performance and present innovative options that provide both operational reliability and clear financial value to our clients. Responsibilities and Expectations

• Evaluate commercial, industrial, and medical facilities to ensure optimal performance of mechanical equipment and building control systems.

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs on complex commercial heating and air conditioning equipment.

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and system checks on high-capacity mechanical systems, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, rooftop package units, and split systems.

• Partner directly with facility managers and business partners to deliver creative, innovative technical solutions—clearly communicating the operational and financial impact of recommended repairs or upgrades.

• Provide clear, transparent, and accurate diagnostic assessments to ensure building systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

• Maintain direct, daily professional communication with commercial clients and office dispatch personnel regarding project status and equipment health.

Requirements

• Associate degree, College, or Vocational/Technical Degree in HVAC/Refrigeration required.

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial HVAC/Refrigeration equipment.

• Active EPA Universal Refrigeration License required.

• Deep understanding of commercial refrigeration cycles, hydronic systems, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and building controls.

• Exceptional analytical ability, critical thinking, and diagnostic aptitude. Strong customer service and verbal communication skills with a positive, team-first attitude.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record (MVR) and willingness to undergo standard pre-employment background checks and drug testing.
