Job Description
Work With Your Handz is hiring an experienced Electrical Service Manager for a well-established, locally owned residential home services company in Howell, Michigan.
With over 25 years in business, our client has built a strong reputation for delivering quality HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services. They’re looking for a hands-on leader to take ownership of their electrical service department, develop their technicians, and drive continued growth.
This is an opportunity to lead an established electrical team, with the support of an experienced electrical field lead and a strong installation department.
We’re looking for someone who brings a solid electrical background, understands the financial side of running a service department, and knows how to coach technicians to reach their full potential.

What You’ll Do
Lead & Develop Your Team
-
Lead, coach, and develop a team of residential electrical service technicians.
-
Conduct regular ride-alongs, one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and call-by-call coaching.

Facilitate weekly team meetings and technical training to improve technician performance and customer experience.

Partner with an experienced electrical field lead to provide technical support and develop newer technicians.

Recruit, interview, hire, and develop team members as the department grows.

Establish clear performance expectations and hold technicians accountable.

Build a positive, team-first culture focused on professional growth, accountability, and quality workmanship.
Drive Department Performance & Profitability
-
Take ownership of department revenue, gross margin, productivity, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Utilize ServiceTitan reporting, dashboards, and technician scorecards to identify opportunities for improvement.

Manage labor costs, material expenses, and department budgets to maintain profitability.

Oversee pricing and pricebook accuracy to support financial performance.

Monitor technician efficiency, average ticket, and overall service performance.

Partner with dispatch to maximize productivity and first-time job completion.

Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and drive department growth.
Oversee Daily Operations

Manage day-to-day electrical service operations while maintaining high standards for safety, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction.

Oversee vehicle inventory, truck replenishment, and material accountability.

Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective access to parts and materials.

Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, licensing requirements, permits, and safety regulations.

Support technicians with complex service issues and provide operational guidance when needed.

Collaborate with installation and other department leaders to ensure efficient operations.

Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and ServiceTitan reporting.
Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience

Ensure technicians follow a consistent service call process and deliver a professional customer experience.

Address escalated customer concerns and warranty callbacks promptly and effectively.

Coach technicians on customer communication, technical recommendations, and service presentation.

Maintain high standards for professionalism, appearance, vehicle cleanliness, and quality workmanship.
What We’re Looking For
-
Strong residential electrical service experience and technical knowledge.

Previous leadership experience as an Electrical Service Manager, Electrical Field Supervisor, Electrical Lead, or similar position.

Proven ability to coach, train, motivate, and develop technicians.

Experience managing department KPIs, revenue, gross margin, and technician productivity.

Strong understanding of residential electrical service operations and service call processes.

Ability to identify performance gaps and implement effective coaching and training.

Experience managing department budgets, labor costs, and operational efficiency.

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
-
Working knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and licensing requirements.

Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive, team-first culture.

ServiceTitan experience is highly preferred.
