Job Title: Residential Sales Manager

Job Location: Lincoln, RI

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Residential Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of approximately HVAC Comfort Advisors across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. This leader will be responsible for driving sales performance, developing the sales team, establishing accountability, and ensuring a consistent, customer-focused sales process.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on sales leader who understands the residential home-services industry and knows how to coach Comfort Advisors to improve close rates, average ticket, financing utilization, and overall sales production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate approximately 14+ Comfort Advisors across RI, MA, and CT.
  • Establish and manage daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals and performance targets.
  • Drive the team toward strong close rates while continuously identifying opportunities to improve sales performance.
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate key sales metrics, identifying trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement corrective action and coaching plans when performance falls below expectations.
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs with Comfort Advisors to observe sales presentations, provide coaching, and reinforce best practices.
  • Host and lead weekly sales meetings focused on performance, accountability, training, and sharing successful sales strategies.
  • Facilitate, track, and evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to senior leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas requiring attention.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies designed to maximize revenue, close rates, and market share.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and collaborate with marketing leadership on targeted sales campaigns and programs.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, installation, service, and other departments to ensure smooth sales-to-installation handoffs and an exceptional customer experience.
  • Review proposals and quotes to ensure proper options, pricing, and approved discounts are being presented.
  • Hold Comfort Advisors accountable for quoting in the home and consistently presenting financing options.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Prepare and conduct Comfort Advisor commission reviews and establish follow-up plans for performance issues.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts to build and maintain a high-performing sales team.
  • Attend leadership and management meetings and communicate sales-related updates, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Ensure company vehicles assigned to the sales team are properly maintained and operated in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of residential sales management/leadership experience within home services with a demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Previous experience managing a sales team of 12 or more direct reports.
  • Previous experience managing a team to greater than a 60% or better close rate.
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, motivate, and hold sales professionals accountable.
  • Strong understanding of residential sales processes, including in-home selling and financing.
  • Experience working with CRM and sales-management technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use performance data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to conduct regular field visits and ride-alongs with Comfort Advisors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of residential HVAC, plumbing, or electrical is highly preferred.
  • Experience with ServiceTitan.
  • Experience with On Call Air.
  • Experience with Conduit Tech or similar sales/quoting software.
  • Hands On HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other technical trade experience.
  • Experience managing a multi-market or geographically dispersed sales team.
