Commercial Electrical Division Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:
-
Ensure safe, efficient, and profitable execution of all commercial projects to the highest quality standards.

Monitor and manage project performance against budgets, timelines, and quality.

Oversee workload distribution, optimize resource allocation, and staff the department appropriately.

Manage the full project lifecycle, prioritizing profitability, risk management, and customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with the company’s commercial coach to improve departmental performance weekly.

Financial Management:
-
Achieve predefined quarterly profit objectives.
-
Submit accurate and timely monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports.
-
Oversee job cost tracking and forecasting, initiating corrective actions.
-
Focus on securing the most profitable customers and projects.
-
Enforce contract terms and address client payment issues.
-
Collaborate with accounting for timely payments and financial alignment.
-
Participate in reviewing the departmental P&L statement.

People Management:
-
Define clear responsibilities and expectations for department staff.

Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews.
-
Recommend and implement personnel actions, including raises, bonuses, promotions, and disciplinary actions.

Oversee all hiring and terminations within the department.

Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and professional growth.

Strategic Planning & Reporting:

Collaborate with the CEO to align departmental objectives with the overall business strategy.

Provide accurate sales forecasts and project intake projections.

Maintain a consistent and healthy pipeline of profitable work.

Partner with internal departments to enhance systems, workflows, and project delivery tools.
