Lead HVAC Installation Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead HVAC System Installations & Code Compliance: Take the lead on installing HVAC systems and ductwork according to proper procedures and industry best practices, ensuring all installations meet and exceed code requirements and pass inspections consistently.

  • Precision Diagnostics & Standards: Utilize specialized tools to accurately measure and adjust airflow and refrigerant levels to meet industry standards for optimal system performance.

  • Mentorship, Training Development & Safety Advocacy: Collaborate with the Operations Manager to refine the training program for Install Trainees, providing guidance and support. Actively participate in and champion the in-house safety program, promoting adherence to all safety protocols.

  • Elevate Customer Experience through Communication: Provide superior communication to customers, building rapport, ensuring retention, and achieving ultimate satisfaction throughout the installation process.

  • Continuous Learning & Quality Assurance: Stay updated on industry trends and installation methods. Conduct site visits to spot-check installation jobs, offering guidance to improve efficiency and profitability.

  • Operational Support & Team Collaboration: Assist with truck stock and warehouse supply fulfillment. Work collaboratively with the Operations and Sales Manager to meet monthly and annual goals for sales and productivity.

  • Pre-Installation Planning & Customer Consultation: Perform pre-installation site visits with homeowners and businesses to accurately prepare materials lists and conduct final sign-offs on system compatibility.

What We Need From You:

  • Extensive HVAC Experience: 5+ years of commercial and residential HVAC/R knowledge, including maintenance, repair, and installation.

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret technical data (temp, pressure, schematics, wiring diagrams) for diagnostics and installations.

  • Strong Communication & Customer Focus: Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills for professional customer interaction and issue resolution.

  • Problem-Solving & Teamwork: Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and a proactive, self-starter attitude; thrives in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.

  • Commitment to Growth & Flexibility: Willingness to invest in training/development and flexibility for local travel and occasional multi-day trainings.

  • Valid Driver’s License & Safe Record: Valid Washington State driver’s license, insurable driving record (25+ years old, 2+ years experience, good record).

  • Education: High school diploma/GED required; HVAC Technical School certificate a plus.
