Manufacturer Sales Representative
Are you a results-driven sales professional with a passion for building relationships and a deep understanding of commercial roofing? We’re seeking an experienced Manufacturer Sales Representative to drive sales, profit, and budgetary objectives within the DMV area. In this dynamic role, you’ll be instrumental in developing and growing your assigned territory, engaging directly with contractors, and contributing significantly to our success. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute territory and sales plans with leadership, actively traveling throughout the assigned area to qualify new opportunities and solicit orders from both regular and prospective customers, including required overnight travel (up to 3 nights/month).

Strategically position products and services as a key advantage, providing comprehensive technical and specification support, and expertly demonstrating features to drive sales and maintain margin targets.

Continuously monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ activities to inform sales strategies.

Manage customer relationships by addressing concerns fairly and promptly, and engaging in collection activities for outstanding accounts.

Represent the company professionally, ensure compliance with all policies, and submit required sales activity reports, including expenses, in a timely manner.

Stay current on HVAC and Roofing products, industry changes, and manufacturing processes, actively promoting the organization in industry associations, meetings, shows, and conventions as requested.
What We’re Looking For:

5-10 years of experience in Outside Sales, with a college degree preferred.

Experience preferably in roofing wholesale distribution sales, commercial roofing sales, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong sales presentation skills, with the ability to build effective rapport and lasting relationships.

Ability to take initiative and work independently without direct supervision.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to maximize profit opportunities in a sales environment and thrive within a team-focused approach.

Solid persuasion and negotiation skills.

Ability to spot opportunities and pursue them with zest.

Ability to thrive under pressure.

Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
