  • Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts and installation teams
  • Repairs air conditioning, heating, control systems, along with humidity and temperature control systems for residential customers
  • Provides preventative maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
  • Build strong customer relationships; build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations.
  • Performs timely and quality repairs in resolving customer complaints
  • Troubleshoot and repair all electrical and mechanical components of HVAC equipment
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in commercial buildings, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
  • Inspecting and testing HVAC systems to identify problems and determine the best course of action for repairs.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing complex HVAC issues and determining the best solutions to resolve them.
  • Repairing or replacing defective parts, such as compressors, motors, and belts.
  • Cleaning and adjusting system components, including ducts, filters, and thermostats.
  • Educating and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans
  • Replace any heating, air conditioning, or refrigeration equipment or complete systems.
  • Test electrical circuits and components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
  • Test pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks, using a pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.    
  • Join pipes or tubing to the equipment and to the fuel, water, or refrigerant source in order to form a complete circuit.  
  • Lay out and connect electrical wiring between the controls and equipment according to the wiring diagram, using an electrician’s hand tools.      
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications.
  • Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and timers, using hand tools.
  • Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
  • Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
  • Manage and develop plumbing staff, including setting work priorities and conducting staff meetings.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and training staff.
  • Oversees daily operations to ensure that proper procedures and guidelines are in place.
  • Effectively manages plumbing team members to ensure team objectives and sales goals are met.
  • Has the ability and willingness to learn the industry standards and practices, including product details and company services offered.
  • Offers exemplary customer service, including maintaining customer relationships and ensuring repeat customers by coaching your team to upsell products and services and taking care of any customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally.
  • Overall supervision of day-to-day operations for services provided including running the call board, dispatching employees, and keeping the customers informed. 
  • Responsible for Plumbing Dept KPI’s 
  • Assists with or performs administrative tasks.
  • Assists Plumbing Technicians with customer service, pricing, estimates, and technology applications such as our P.O.S. software.
  • Assist company owners with training, truck inspections, and disciplinary actions up to and including the termination of the technician.
  • Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Regularly audits work being done and customer service is provided to ensure all standards are met and that repair work is carried out effectively, correctly, and thoroughly.
  • Oversees daily operations to ensure that proper procedures and guidelines are in place.
  • Oversees team members performing inspections, preparing reports, and doing repairs; if necessary, carries out these job duties personally to ensure the highest quality of work.
  • Promote enthusiasm and brand loyalty during daily huddles, team meetings, and 1:1’s.
  • Complete plumbing, drain cleaning and other related service calls.
  • Installing pipes, drainage systems, sinks, toilets, and heating and cooling systems.
  • Testing systems for leaks and other problems.
  • Performing inspections and providing advice to homeowners.
  • Establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services.
  • Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.
  • Understand service criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
  • Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business.
  • Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business.
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.
  • Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings and retreats.
  • Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.
  • Be accurate and timely with invoices, timecards, curbside feedback and option sheets.
