Job Title: Project Leader / Business Development

The Project Leader is a pivotal role responsible for developing business in a designated geographic territory and guiding prospective clients through the crucial design and preconstruction phases. This position requires an individual who is not shy and can make a quick connection, using an entrepreneurial mindset to cultivate leads, manage high-end sales, oversee design, and ensure a smooth handoff to production. You will be the primary advocate for our brand, driving revenue while upholding our high standards for quality and client experience.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Generate leads through active networking and personal involvement (referrals, community involvement, strategic outreach), utilizing existing personal and professional networks.

  • Proactively identify and create opportunities for networking events to cultivate the sales pipeline.

  • Serve as the first point of client contact and manage the full sales cycle: initial consultations, proposals, scope definition, and preconstruction.

  • Maintain relationships with clients through the design and preconstruction phases to create a positive experience and build trust.

  • Be the primary client advocate: Patiently and clearly answer all client questions, being not hesitant to answer questions or address concerns.

  • Coordinate with design teams to guide clients through the entire preconstruction process, including selections, planning, and budgeting.

  • Oversee development of building plans, clarifications, permits, and final budgeting, ensuring all required items are accurately in place before construction begins.

  • Deep knowledge of construction and pricing is required to ensure feasibility and accuracy during the design and estimating phases.

  • Facilitate the formal handoff from sales/design to production teams, ensuring complete continuity and clarity of scope.

  • Work closely with estimating, production, and design departments to ensure feasibility, accuracy, and adherence to client expectations.

  • Maintain a well-presented, professional demeanor, demonstrating a commitment to solving problems without becoming easily frustrated.

  • Support the company’s growth by bringing innovative ideas to the sales and networking processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 – 8 years of experience in residential remodeling, design/build, or the luxury/high-end custom construction market is required.

  • Deep knowledge about construction, pricing, and compliance is required.

  • Proven business development or sales track record with an entrepreneurial mindset; capable of bringing their own leads.

  • Experience using Power BI; Auto CAD; and Builder Trend required

  • Strong design sense and the ability to engage clients with vision, selections, and budgets.

  • Bilingual communication skills are a significant asset.

  • A naturally proactive, quick-connect personality who is comfortable leading and communicating easily across all levels.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a well-presented, professional image.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects (in the preconstruction/design phase) concurrently.

What Can We Do for You?

  • Compensation: Competitive $50,000 – $70,000 base salary plus commission, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) range of $150,000 – $160,000 per year.

The compensation for this position is expected to range between $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 base salary. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
