Job Title: HVAC Install/Service Helper
We are seeking a motivated and reliable HVAC Install / Service Helper to join our team in Farmingdale, NY. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow a long-term career in the skilled trades. You will work alongside experienced HVAC Technicians, gaining hands-on experience in residential and commercial installation, maintenance, and repair.

Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Assist lead HVAC Technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems
- Support system installations including ductwork, piping, wiring, and equipment setup
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system cleaning, and routine inspections
- Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC system issues, including inefficiencies and failures
- Prepare job sites before work begins and assist with cleanup upon completion
- Load, organize, and maintain company vehicles with tools, materials, and equipment
- Maintain all tools and equipment in clean, safe, and working condition
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of PPE
- Provide general job site support (retrieving tools, holding materials, assisting technicians as needed)
- Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with customers
- Actively learn HVAC systems, technical procedures, and best practices from senior technicians
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an HVAC Helper or in a related mechanical/trade role required
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, components, and maintenance practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions, diagrams, and blueprints (preferred)
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces, ladders)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license preferred

The compensation for this position is expected to range between $22.00 – $28.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
